Allentown Grand Opening

Infinera Expands Operations in Allentown, Pennsylvania

On May 28, 2009, Infinera hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the move to a new, larger building in the Lehigh Valley. Allentown plays a key role for Infinera with the engineering and assembly of Infinera's optical modules taking place here. This event attracted support from an impressive list of Pennsylvania and local officials. Speakers at the event included:

  • U.S. Congressman Charlie Dent
  • State Senator Pat Browne
  • State Representative Gary Day
  • Chad Paul, president of Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania
  • Cindy Feinberg, Director of Community and Economic Development, Lehigh County

Infinera's Dave Welch talked about Infinera's past achievements and objectives for the future.

U.S. Congressman Charlie Dent (R-Lehigh Valley) called Infinera's expansion "an investment in our community that provides high-paying jobs, enhances living standards, and creates wealth."

Infinera's Mike Reffle explains the Allentown production process to Rep. Dent and other visitors.
