Kambiz Hooshmand joined the Infinera board in December 2009. He was until recently President and CEO of AppliedMicro Circuits Corporation, where he transformed the company into a leading provider of communications solutions. Prior to AppliedMicro, Mr. Hooshmand was a Vice President and Division General Manager at Cisco Systems. He held a number of executive positions at Cisco during his nine year tenure at the company, including managing Cisco's multi-billion dollar portfolio of core routers. Prior to Cisco, Mr. Hooshmand was a senior member of StrataCom's management team, where he was a key pioneer in the development of packet-based networking solutions that today account for billions of dollars of services in telecom networks worldwide. Mr. Hooshmand holds a Master of Science degree in engineering from Stanford University.
